When Your Prayers are Blocked

Image
The enemy sets up limitations that make us miss our answers. The Kingdom of darkness blocks the answers to our prayers through diversion, delay, and deception. The enemy stands in the way of the believer's testimonies, blessings, victories, opened doors e.tc which are fruits of the answered prayers. The work of the devil is to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). In Daniel 10:12-14, the Bible records that Daniel's prayer was answered by God immediately. However, an Angel was assigned to deliver the answers but was held hostage by the prince of Persia for twenty-one days. Many believers pray and receive answers but the answers to their prayers are obstructed by powers of darkness.  Do not, therefore, be discouraged and lose hope in God if you do not receive answers to your prayers timely. You need to understand that God answers prayers.  In Mathew 13:54-58, The Bible records an account where Our Lord Jesus was limited to perform miracles and heal those afflicted by the...

Technology and Gospel are not Rivals

By Joseph Wamoto

Affects Of Technology on the Church

Scientific developments and technology have led to the invention of diverse technologies which aim at providing maximum efficiency, effectiveness, speed, quality, power, accuracy, and simplicity among others. Science has offered many solutions to problems that the human race has undergone over history. To some point, many people have put their trust in science and idolized it. Technology has played a central role in the growth and the history of the church.

Church Without Technology.

The current church cannot be sustained with an effective impact on the believers without the use of technology. The foundation of the church is the Word of God. The believers can access the word of God through technology. The word of God was written many centuries ago and passed down through generations with help of technology. It's impossible to preserve the writings of the Bible and its distribution for centuries without altering the message without the use of technology. Jesus commissioned the believer to go to the whole earth preaching the gospel to all nations and people. This implies that the gospel is a message and therefore had to be communicated.

Communication needs have led to the development of a broad and distinctive element of technology called information technology. This involves the mobility of people, goods, and messages from one place to another. There has been a dire need for the creation, recording, movement, organization, and retrieving of high volumes of information by the church to preach the gospel to the world as mandated.

Technology and church growth

Technology has made it possible for the Gospel to reach all nations of the world. Christianity and technology have advanced concurrently. Technology has played a central role in the growth of the church since the days when Jesus Christ walked and taught in Israel. The building of roads simplified easy movement. The creation of weapons advanced peace.

The invention and creation of engines in boats, automobiles, and airplanes have facilitated the easier movement of the Gospel. Printing technology in the mid-1400's facilitated mechanical printing of the Bible. This has played a major role in church revival till now. A larger audience was reached through a printing press. This led to the translation and distribution of the Bible into different languages. Electrical and electronic technological advancement has advanced the Gospel in an immeasurable capacity. In today's world, a church without a single electronic device is unimaginable. All these devices play an important role in spreading the Gospel.

The internet is a mighty blessing to the church today. It's a strong evangelical tool since the development of social media. Social media websites such Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, WhatsApp, TikTok, blogger, youtube, etc are church tools that can be used to reach out effectively to the masses. The Church of today can use these tools to reach out to billions of people in a short period.

Every Christian and clergy should therefore empress technology and use it to carry out God's purpose. With current technology, preachers can reach billions of people with a single electronic broadcast. This technology can be used for communication, community, teaching, and discipleship. The Church has grown tremendously for the glory of God. Technology has allowed Christians to carry out their services through virtual online meetings without external restrictions and pressure. The online church has spread the Gospel to regions where people cannot access it. The Church without walls or restrictions will without doubt usher in the end day revival which will mark the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
